Artful Dodging

The grainy black and white photograph showed the marina in front of the Torpedo Factory. The sky was dark, and a few dots of light flickered from the riverboat moored at the far dock. In their refracted glow, the boats appeared to dip and sway. A lone figure wearing a hooded sweatshirt leaned into the back of a launch at the far end of the dock, too far away to make out his face.
