The Pit and the Passion

She held her gaze steady, mainly so she could delve deep, deep into those chocolate eyes. Together with his sharp, angular nose and intense, almost predatory, expression, he reminded her of a peregrine falcon on the hunt.

Grand News!

I have contracted with I Heart Publishing to re-publish Losers Keepers, Mai Tais and Mayhem, and Triptych. They will be released once a month, beginning in October. They will be available for at all fine on-line sites in both e-book and print-on-demand. So if you were kicking yourself that you didn’t pick up on these three sexy, romantic suspense novels, you can stop. They will be available for pre-order soon.

Look for the publication of Losers Keepers, romance and murder in Chincoteague, first.

Dagne Lonegan, aka Dear Philomena, advice columnist, hoped that spending a year on the Eastern Shore island of  Chincoteague would extinguish any feelings she had left for Jack Andrews, erstwhile lover and long-time jerk.  It’s just her luck that in her first week on the island she’s entangled in a murder.  Only she doesn’t know it.  Unfortunately, the murderer doesn’t know she doesn’t know.  Strange and dangerous things begin happening to her, disrupting her new romance with Tom Ellis, the handsome manager of the National Wildlife Refuge.  As if that weren’t enough, Jack arrives to take charge of the murder investigation.

Will Dagne stick with the tall, cool glass of a Ranger or risk falling back into the arms of the man who broke her heart?

Next will come Triptych. Set in Washington DC above the three rocks known as the Three Sisters, Triptych weaves three stories in and out of legend, modern romance and past intrigue.

Both Miranda Cabot and her sister Honor prefer their solitude to romance, Miranda having watched her husband die in flames on the Potomac River rocks called the Three Sisters. Not so their sister Sybil, who longs for a dashing Frenchman to sweep her off her feet.  Being a modern woman, she advertises for him on Craig’s List and is rewarded with the Chevalier du Bon Arnaque, who comes to Washington from Alsace on mysterious business.

Miranda and Honor suspect the Chevalier is a crook, and ask their neighbor Dieter and his grandson Corey to act as chaperones. Three beautiful, strong-willed women living in a house with three handsome, virile men results inevitably in an intricate web of jealousy, sex, and romance. Add in long-lost master artworks, stolen prototypes, and a resident genius, and you have a recipe for adventure. Who will end up with whom, and will the Three Sisters take another life as the legend calls for?

And finally, probably in December, in time for your Florida Christmas vacation, Mai Tais and Mayhem. So many romances, so many crooks: can Tessa Diamond, turtle protector and amateur sleuth, keep them straight and still find true love?

When Tessa Diamond rescues a baby pufferfish and takes it to Mote Marine Laboratory for help, her good deed lands her in a shady world of murder, smuggling, Russian gangsters, and coded messages. She must cope with sea turtles, sturgeon, stolen parrots, and even feral pigs, while encountering blossoming romances at every turn, including two of her own.

She is torn between Cameron Mason, tiger-eyed and handsome, and Dugan Trevally, sexy and dangerous, but before she can choose, she must face the possibility that one of them could be a thief, and even a murderer.
