Amelia Island Book Festival a Blast

I’ve just returned from the Amelia Island Book Festival—held in Fernandina Beach February 14 to 16. It was fabulous!

I saw old friends and made new ones—authors of thrillers, mysteries, young adult, and even paranormal. Sold some books and talked to many readers. The unquestionable hit—for obvious reasons—was my new mystery Flotsam & Jetsam: the Amelia Island Affair. Many local residents liked the emphasis on the island’s complicated and fascinating history. Visitors considered it a great souvenir.

A highlight was meeting Jacques Pépin, the five-star chef, who made me an ameuse-guele (a tidbit) and laughed at my joke!

Book signing events take a lot of organization and this is one of the best.

Amelia Island or Bust!

Saddle Up: Off to the Amelia Island Book Festival February 14-16

I’ll be heading out to Amelia Island (southernmost of the Sea Islands and the only one in Florida) for their fabulous annual Book Festival. It’s always great fun and this year there will be a plethora of great authors. I’m featuring my new release: Flotsam and Jetsam: the Amelia Island Affair—for obvious reasons! I’ll also have on hand the other eleven mystery/romantic suspense novels—including my December 27 release from I Heart Publishing For the Love of a Spy: the Scrivener and the Handyman.

Here’s a link to the festival—the signing is ten to five Saturday, February 16, with breakout sessions for some close-up time with some authors. IT'S FREE!!!
